A staple in the industry, this is the black ribbed rubber v mat that Keene uses in the head of many of their sluice boxes, including the hand sluices and gold dredge boxes. It is intended more as a visual check for gold recovery than anything else as the gold will often migrate down to the main box riffle and carpet section eventually. It is invaluable when using a hand sluice in particular in that it gives you an immediate visual indication that yes, that last bucket of dirt did have gold in it! The carpet can also be used by itself in carefully controlled low flow recovery sluices to process screened concentrate. With proper screening and waterflow/angle very high recovery rates can be attained using just this carpet by itself. This part number is for a 12″ x 36″ precut roll of the matting.
