The heavy duty yet simple construction of the Proline 4″ dredge makes it appealing to both the weekend prospector and the serious dredger alike. Tired of complicated designs that are a puzzle to assemble? We’ve got you covered! Small enough to slide into a pickup, light enough to be packed into remote areas, the 4″ makes an excellent one-man dredge. This model is equipped with four compact, lightweight and high stability pontoons. Each of the four polyethylene floats, (two used per side) are 13″ tall x 46″ wide x 74″ long. The sturdy bolt together frame allows the dredge to be disassembled into smaller components for ease of transport. Assembly requires only a few hand tools. The 16″ x 48″ sluice box uses the highly acclaimed “wave classifier” which is proven to greatly enhance fine gold recovery by eliminating the problems associated with processing low grade sand. The classifier develops a pulsing, or “jigging,” action which prevents the dredged material from loading up under it. By shedding the low-grade particles, the fine gold can drop out of suspension earlier and accumulate under the classifier where it is safe from the turbulence and disturbance caused by the larger rocks traveling through the sluice. The rear portion of the sluice box utilizes “Hungarian” riffles for maximum efficiency and the dredge is equipped with Nomad matting for excellent fine gold recovery. The dredge is equipped with the Proline “sure-flow” coupler, which greatly reduces all surface rock jams. Prolines unique one-piece jet/flare assembly not only reduces down time caused by rock jams, but it is also extremely light and outlasts conventional steel jets by four to five times! The dredge is equipped with 15′ of 4″ suction hose and the HP400 pump is supplied by 42″ of 3″ intake line, featuring an all-metal Proline heavy duty foot valve with screen.
The Proline 4″ dredge as stocked by AMSS normally is upgraded to the Honda GX200 engine and HP400 pump for additional power. The HP400 is a very efficient 3″x 2″ pump with a high flow, “progressive bite” five vane impeller. We highly recommend this engine/pump package for anyone who dredges to greater depths or at higher altitudes. The T80 air compressor in the picture has also been upgraded to the heavy-duty twin piston PCA10 compressor. Weight 212 lbs.
