Gold dredges are basically underwater vacuum cleaners and they depend on a durable suction hose to get the job done. We stock low temperature resistant highly flexible suction hose to suit the most demanding gold dredgers. This hose has a smooth inside bore to reduce clogging and keep from inadvertently trapping gold. The hose is highly abrasion resistant and UV resistant, but we do recommend keeping it covered out of direct sunlight when being stored while not in use. The hose is normally clear with gray ribbing but on occasion we sometimes have clear hose with green or white ribbing. Suction hose is measured by the inside diameter of the hose and is available normally in sizes ranging from 1.5″ to 8″ inside diameter. The length of hoses on gold dredges ranges from 10 feet to 20 feet, with 20 feet being the most common length. This hose type is also commonly used for pump intake hose between the intake screen and pump. It is not suitable for high pressure applications like pump output hose. We generally stock bulk rolls of hose so we can provide you with custom lengths. Call ahead for availability of large sizes like 6″ or 8″ hose as we may have to get some from our warehouse for you.
