This crystal clear glass vial with push in plastic plug is perfect for displaying or selling your gold. It is 1-3/16″ tall by 5/16″ wide with a 1/8″ opening. The vial has a liquid capacity of 0.46 ml and will hold about 2 pennyweight (dwt) of small gold, but this varies with the size of the gold and is a rough estimate only. When filled with water it also acts as a magnifier for fine gold contained in the vial making it popular for selling small quantities of fine gold. This vial might break if dropped and therefore is not recommended for field use, though due to its small size it is tougher than many larger glass vials.
